Human-AI Software Engineer - Intern
Write, test and ship parts of Conscipact's own AI products alongside senior engineers, working with AI agents that carry the volume while you carry the judgment on what actually goes out. Two-month unpaid internship in Hyderabad, hybrid, with full-time employment possible after it depending on your work and on openings at that time.
Office attendance: At least three days each week at the listed office.
The honest part first
This internship is unpaid for the first two months. There is no stipend in that period.
It runs for a minimum of two months. At the end, a full-time offer is possible, but it depends on both how you worked and whether a role is open then. We will not promise you one at the start.
You work from the Hyderabad office at least three days a week. That is a condition of the role, not a preference. Remote days beyond that are possible only with HR approval.
Expect a full working day, around eight hours on weekdays while our AI Agents assisting you and you having lots of fun at work.
What you'll do
- Work on building Conscipact's own AI products.
- Write code, write tests, and find out where your code breaks before a user does.
- Use AI agents as part of how you work. They draft, generate, scaffold and search. You read what they produce, decide what is wrong with it, and own what you merge. This is Conscipact HAI in practice: AI carries volume, humans carry judgment, and every output has a human accountable for it. For your work, that human is you.
- Take your tasks through review with a senior engineer. You will be asked to explain your choices, not just show that something runs.
- Hold your work to the standard we hold every system to: understand the context before you add capability, judge the product by whether the person using it is better off rather than by how long they stay in it, keep the decisions that matter with a human, and be able to explain what the system did when someone asks you under pressure.
What we're looking for
- You can write working code in at least one of Python, Java or C#.
- Zero to one year of experience.
- Graduates of 2026/2025 and self-taught people are all fine. We care what you can build and explain, not where you learned it.
- You know your way around a database. Any database. You can write queries and explain what your schema is doing.
- You can break a vague problem into steps and say which step you are unsure about.
- You can work with AI agents well: prompt them usefully, read their output critically, catch where they are confidently wrong, and know when to stop asking and write it yourself.
- You can explain your thinking in writing and out loud, to someone who was not in your head.
How you'll be supported
- You work under senior engineers. You get code review, direction and someone to ask.
- You will not be left alone with production. You will also not be parked on a toy project that gets deleted when you leave. The work is on real products.
What we'll ask you
No surprises — these are the questions in the application, so you can think about them before you start.
- Describe a time an AI tool gave you an answer that looked right and actually was wrong. How did you catch it, and what did you do next?
- Tell us about something you built. What did it do, what language and database did you use, and what part of it broke?
- What does Human Well-being mean to you?
- What is your view on AI and how it impacts Human life?
- Earliest date you could start, and how many months you are available for.
- You have read that the first two months are unpaid and that at least three days a week are in the Hyderabad office. Are you able to take this on?
